---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dungeness & The South Coast Reserves.

A two day ,one night stay trip to the finest reserves on the south coast. We will be meeting up at "dunge" with David Roach for a guided tour of the reserve.

Plus birding the best sites on the two days.  £ 99pp Only

Day Trips Cancelled

The cost of running a single day trip with less than 12 people in a hired mini bus is now not cost effective. Because of this I will not be running any until further notice.

I suggested at the AGM that arrangements for day trips be organised by the members in their own transport. I will continue to run weekend and longer trips both in the UK

and abroad. It's my intention to E Mail all those members I have contact addresses for to keep you updated with all trips. Thanks Ken R

New Galloway and the Rhinns  November 2010

A long weekend to Dumfries and Galloway including Loch Ken and Loch Ryan, The Solway and the Rhins.

Dumfries and Galloway is renowned for the bird watching opportunities provided along the shores of the inner Solway Firth – and rightly so.

The Solway is one of the most important estuaries in Britain holding up to 40,000 wildfowl and 83,000 waders during the winter period

Expect to see most of the Grebe's, plenty of sea ducks and Divers , Greenland Whitefronts, Barnacle, Light Bellied Brent, Canada with the possibility of Richardson's, Cackling. Todd's etc,Twite flocks plus Red Kites. At other sites- Whooper Swans, Scaup, Short Eared Owls, Hen Harrier, Purple Sandpipers, Scoters and Merlin.

We will be staying at New Galloway at the Cross Keys Hotel  Friday Sat and Sunday night returning on Monday late afternoon.
